Today's reading — Romans 8:31-37▾
There was a man who always faced setbacks every time he was close to having a breakthrough. Each time a breakthrough was about to happen in his life, something would truncate it. One day, he was informed that he had won a big contract and was instructed to collect his award letter in Abuja. He was so excited about this that he boarded a plane immediately and headed to Abuja. Unknown to him, the person in charge of the contract had changed his mind and given the contract to someone else. After receiving this news upon his arrival in Abuja, the man decided that he couldn’t bear it anymore. He surrendered his life to Jesus, and I prayed for him. The Lord had mercy on him, broke the yoke of failure in his life, and from then on, he began to record one breakthrough after another.
Beloved, God wants you to live in victory in all areas of your life. He also wants you to move from one level of success to another. Proverbs 4:18 says, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” While following Jesus doesn’t exempt you from challenges, God’s plan is not for you to live under the shadow of defeat and failure.
I once met a boy who consistently failed all his exams, despite his parents being professors. If he moved from a class of 30 pupils to a class of 35 pupils, his position would move from 30th to 35th; he just couldn’t help it. His parents got him the best private tutors, yet he continued to fail. One day, his parents brought him to me, and we prayed together. In the next examination he wrote, he came first among his peers. The teachers were shocked, so he was asked to retake the examination. Surprisingly, he scored even higher than he did in his first attempt. Since then, failure has been banished from his life.
Beloved, are you experiencing recurring failure? If you are already born again or if you surrender your life to Jesus right now, I have good news for you: the Lord is more than able to deliver you from the cycle of failure. Call on Him for help today, and He will deliver you. He will show you what you must do to start succeeding, and as you do it, you will never know failure again.
